TransAmerica...

hoho... slept at 6 am this morning!! Now (1.37pm) really tired even if i slept till 11 plus! Why did u sleep so late Missy? Bahz... my aunt got back from states a day or two ago. Then she had a long conversation with me of what I'm planning to do, what I wanna do, and of cos trying her very best to convince me to go for my convocation! Gosh.. She makes it sound so major when I said I have no intention of attending my convo... She goes on bladdering about how the convo will signified a closure, marking a significant end to your 20s (which I dont want it to be marked.. or I should I just said I dun wan it to end!) and education, embarking a new journey of life (welcome University of THE world), saying I should do this for my parents and emphasize doing it for myself (which is weird.. cos I dun wanna do it) and ya da ya da... Oooo... really a tedious long night!

Ok.. enough of the convo thingy! Shall write something more entertaining.. Hmm.. how about my movie date with YJ. Hahaha! We went PS to watch "TransAmerica" starring Felicity Haffman and Kevin Zegers (Real handsome chap... Ooo.. Drooling). Kinda disturbing show with all the penisssss showing (esp. woman body with penis.. not trying to commit hate crime here! sorry if it sounds like I'm anti-trans or something.. I'm not!! Just first time watching show that is so BARE!!) but still its humourous -- had a few good laughs. Wanna synopsis of the show? (Nope?.. I dun care, gonna write it anyway.) Haffman (as Bree aka Stanley) a woman in the making (preparing for the final Op) found out that he had a teenage son (Zegers as Toby) he never knew about. She (think I better use "SHE") bailed Tony out and both of them starts a journey back to California. Alot of twists and turns where they get to know about each other more, basically its a show depicting father (or should I say mother) son relationship.

Just a few thoughts, actually I think this film also show us how many people view trans as weirdos, freaks and well... what I'm trying to say is our world is not really as accepting as we portray! Especially in America where they talked about freedom, no discrimination against races, genders and what nots, but I feel its more of a preaching.. How many humans can really be fully 100% not racist, show no favouritism, no stereotyping! Its human nature eh... we tend to be less recieving and need more time to accept things or people who are with very obvious differences i.e. skin colour, religion and so on...

Anyway just to add, Felicity Huffman really did a great act here! YJ and me came out of the movie, still wondering is she a man or woman... Hmmm...

Then after which we went for dinner (ThaiExpress! yum Yum) and had a long walk looking for dessert after that! But.. Guess what we end up eating? hehehe... Macdonald's cone ice-cream for YJ and Strawberry Sundaes for me!! Hahaha! Once again so much for dieting! Oh.. did i mention I stuffed down a pack of $5.00 nuts (its nuts to pay so much for nuts.. well I did.. so I'm NUTS!) while watching the movie!! YJ really feeds me! thanks lehz... Really enjoy last night out.. Thanks ehz.. Hehe... On a whole its an enjoyable day except with the tiring conversation with my AUNT~~ I know she meant well.. but sometimes.. I just wanna make my own decision!

Be more HUMAN Humans...
